University of Alabama School of Business:

This school is considered my magazines such as the Princeton Review to be in the top 10 business schools in the country. The reason is because this school teaches a cross between business theory and business practice. In other words, this school specializes in teaching students about the current theories and philosophies in the business world, but also allows them to put these ideas into the practice. The school offers a diverse range of graduate and undergraduate programs, along with a wide variety of concentrations and areas of study. The school also offers a number of international study opportunities. The school offers distance learning and low-residency programs for working professionals. These are programs that allow working professional who have other obligations and cannot attend full-time programs to get a higher education degree. Students have a wide variety of options when it comes to job training and professional counseling and preparation.

MBA in Human Resources:

This program is for students who have already earned undergraduate degrees and would like to enter the business world of human resources. Students begin with a general education with core business classes. Students learn about economics, finance, management, business ethics, and business law. Students will then declare individual areas of study. Students work closely with faculty advisors who will help guide them to the completion of their independent projects. Students will also engage in internships that prepare them for their careers with real world experience. Students learn to communicate with executives and employees. They learn about negotiation and recruiting and hiring techniques. Students also may take classes outside of the department of business. Students may take classes in psychology, sociology, and social work in order to further master concepts that are related to human resources management. Students are given a number of opportunities to participate in field work. This means that students are given the chance to go out on the field and not only see how human resources managers work, but to see how they fit in those roles. Students also get to participate in meet and greet sessions with visiting representative and recruiters from a number of visiting and local businesses and firms from a number of different industries. Students who earn this degree are fit to work in large corporations or in small businesses. Student may also teach business and human resources in a number of education settings. Students who complete this program often end up leading staffs in a number of different industries and businesses. Students who complete this program may also apply for PhD degree programs.
