Master of Arts in Teaching - Childhood Education

A Childhood Education MAT prepares teachers to teach the core subjects of reading, math, writing, science, art, and music in elementary schools, specifically Pre-School through fourth grade.

Master of Arts in Teaching - Middle Level Education

This program produces educators to teach in middle schools (Grades 5 through 8) with emphasis in a specialization of either social studies/English or math/science.

Master of Arts in Teaching - Secondary Education

Licensed teachers for middle and high schools in a wide variety of teaching areas are the goal of this degree program.

University of Central Arkansas College of Education

Located in Conway, Arkansas, UCA was once the Arkansas Teachers College and is still known for its excellent teacher training programs. In fact, the Association of Teacher Educator's 2010 Distinguished Program in Teacher Education Award was given to the Master of Arts in Teaching program at UCA.

Master of Arts in Teaching

This program is designed for students who hold bachelor's degrees in specific areas but wish to become teachers. The MAT has two possible tracks: P-4 Early Childhood and Middle/Secondary/P-8 & 7-12. It can be completed in two years.
