Master of Arts in Teaching

This program is generalized to offer students secondary and P-12 teacher preparation in many different fields. Some of these include business, economics, English, family and consumer sciences, history, geography, geology, math, sciences and Spanish. In addition, middle grades are emphasized as are special education needs. Concentrations include Secondary Education, Middle Grades Education, Special Education and P-12 Education in Spanish.

Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning

Several areas of concentration are offered within this program, including Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, and Secondary Education in business, English, math, social science, or science. Also, the concentrations of Instructional Improvement and Special Education are available for online instruction.

Early Childhood Education Doctor of Philosophy

This is a program where students gain a thorough understanding of theories, research, and issues that relate to early childhood education. They will begin by assisting and eventually lead a classroom in the role of teacher or scholar at the university level or fill research positions in Early Childhood Education.

Mercer University's Graduate Education Programs

PhD in Curriculum and Instruction

Two tracks are offered by this program: the Early Learner and the Adolescent Learner. A minimum of three years, or nine semesters, will be required to complete the program. Combinations of online and face-to-face learning techniques are used in this program of study.
