Boise State University's Graduate Education Programs

The College of Education at BSU is committed to preparing professional educators with the use of models to incorporate integrated teaching and learning practices. Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction

This doctoral program, which leads to obtaining an Ed.D. degree, is designed to develop graduates who will be effective leaders in the improvement of current educational situations. This is the only doctorate degree offered by the College of Education and is now in its 10th year.

Master's in Education, Early Childhood Studies

This 33-credit program offers general courses that all master's candidates must complete, specialized childhood studies courses, and three options for capstone experience. These are a thesis, a project or a written comprehensive examination. Students will receive an M.A. for the thesis option only and an M.Ed. is earned for the project and comprehensive exam options.

A bachelor's degree is required for acceptance. Core courses include Theories of Learning, School Law, and Supervision of Instruction.
