Kansas State University's Graduate Engineering Programs

Master of Science in Chemical Engineering
Classes you will take include Chemical Engineering Analysis I, Advanced Transport Phenomena I, and at least nine credits of electives. To be successful in the required courses, students should enter the master's program with a solid engineering foundation.
Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering
You must complete coursework satisfactorily, submit a thesis and defend it to complete the program. Classes include ChE Graduate Seminar, Advanced Chemical Engineering, Thermodynamics and at least 15 credits of electives.
Mechanical Engineering Master's Degree Program
30 credits are required within your field of study. 75% attendance in at least two semesters of Graduate Seminar and Research Paper are required for completion of the program.

The University of Kansas's Graduate Engineering Programs

Master of Science in Bioengineering
The goal of this program is to prepare students to enter both private and public firms. Four semesters of Bioengineering Colloquium are required along with one credit hour in Issues in Scientific Integrity. 30 credits are required altogether.
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Doctoral Degree
Students admitted to this program must complete 18 semester hours of approved coursework including classes like Directed Graduate Reading, Master's Thesis, and Post-Master's Research.
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
You can choose a thesis or non-thesis option. Either way, you must pass a final exam to complete the program. Only two attempts are permitted.

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
You must complete one of three options. The thesis option requires a minimum of 24 credits plus 6 hours of thesis work. The non-thesis option requires 33 credit hours. The direct project option requires 30 credit hours plus 3 hours of directed project.
Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering
Five areas of specialization are offered including controls; communications and signal processing; computers and digital systems; energy and power systems; and computer networking.
