Master of Science in Community Counseling
Professionals looking to work in the public sphere will be well served by this degree. The focus of the curriculum is to prepare students for direct practice in community health centers, schools, government agencies, and business facilities that provide mental and social health services. It is a 60 semester hour program that includes both classroom and clinical work to complete.
Master of Art in School Counseling
A Master's Degree program designed for professionals seeking to provide counseling and guidance in elementary and secondary schools. Graduates build skills and gain knowledge that will allow them to help students with their academic, personal and social, and career development goals. The program requires the completion of academic and clinical work.

Eastern Kentucky University Counseling and Educational Psychology Department
The Counseling and Educational Psychology Department at Eastern Kentucky University emphasis the application of a student's counseling education. Upon graduation, students are expected to be able to serve the needs of a culturally diverse society through the understanding and use of counseling theories, intervention techniques, and research.
Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling
The program is designed to assist students in becoming licensed professional clinical counselors and meets all the requirements of the Kentucky law and CACREP standards. It is a 60 hour program that includes classes such as Addiction Disorders Counseling, Crisis and Abuse Counseling, and Counseling Diverse Populations. An internship is also required to complete the program.
