It is considered a mid-level management position in many large IT environments which is reflected in the pay ranges. According to Payscale.com in aerospace and defense the salary range for this profession is $70,278 - $105,096, with a median salary of about $88,000. In financial services, the pay range is $67,497 - $100,486 for an average salary of $83,400.

5. Web Development Project Manager: Many of the job listings in this field still require a bachelor's degree, but those that fall to someone who has completed a relevant graduate degree the positions of opportunity are more likely to be at a senior level. According to Payscale.com the salary range for this position is $73,000 with experience a key factor in the level of pay. Web development with an established online business can become a complex job with a correspondingly higher pay rate.
