Michigan State University's Graduate Engineering Programs

MSU was established in 1855. The university began as a campus of three buildings with five faculty members and 63 male students. Today, though, the university now covers 5,200 acres with almost 1,500 tenured faculty members and 46,000 students. 21% of these students are completing graduate studies.

Masters of Science in Civil Engineering

This program allows you to choose from three options, all of which require 30 credits of study. Plan A includes a thesis project of 4-6 credits. Plan B includes an independent project of 1-5 credits and Plan C is simply 30 credits of coursework.

Master of Science in Biosystems Engineering

Both a thesis and non-thesis option is offered. Most students choose the thesis option to help with their research and development work, especially if they plan to pursue a PhD.

Doctor of Philosophy in Biosystems Engineering

Students who plan to pursue a career in teaching or research at universities need to obtain a PhD. This program meets the requirements for graduates to work in the private sector or with government agencies.

Michigan Technological University's Graduate Engineering Programs

This is a public university located in Houghton, Michigan. It was founded in 1885 with the aim to train mining engineers. Today, 120 different degrees are offered to more than 6,700 students.

Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering
