The Graduate School at the University of Montana
The Graduate School at the University of Montana prepares students to become leaders within the healthcare community. Upon completion of their chosen program, students will become competitive candidates for a variety of healthcare positions and blossom into effective and efficient healthcare professionals.
Master of Science in Exercise Science
This program is designed to help students further their education or pursue professional careers. The research option allows students who are interested in furthering their education to participate in intensive research. Students will study laboratory methods in addition to statistical and research design. The applied option will prepare students to work within corporate and adult fitness centers, athletics and cardiac rehabilitation.
Master of Science in Community Health
Those who pursue this degree will gain knowledge about the effects program planning and behavior science theories have on the development of mental, social and physical health programs in the community. Students will be trained to work in a variety of healthcare settings including colleges and universities, hospitals clinics, nonprofit organizations, public health departments and community health agencies.
Master of Science Generalist Option
This program is designed for students who do not wish to choose a specialty and focus on the diversity of the field of the Health and Human Performance field. This program will provide students with general knowledge needed to work within the Health and Human Performance field.
