Ed.D. (Educational Doctorate) in School Psychology

Students in this program are trained toward the goal of helping children of all ages and their families, even those children with severe socio- or emotional problems. It follows a scientist-practice model, but the heavy emphasis is on practical application.

Master of the Arts in Education (Curriculum and Instruction)

Graduate students can pursue a master's degree in any of the following specializations under the heading of Curriculum and Instruction: Bilingual Education; Early Childhood Education (and Early Care); Educational Learning Technologies; Literacy, Language & Culture (Reading); and, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

University of New Mexico College of Education
Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the UNM College of Education is in US News and World Report's list of Best Graduate Education Schools. The university is the largest research institution in the state and offers MA, MS, PhD, and EdD degrees as well as graduate certificate programs.

PhD in Educational Psychology

The Educational Psychology PhD program consists of 72 credit hours of traditional classes, hands-on research, and internships, culminating in 18 credit hours of dissertation work. Critical evaluation and application of research are emphasized as well.

Master of the Arts in Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies

This master's program seeks to develop educators in the following concentration areas: American Indian Education, Bilingual Education, Education Thought and Sociocultural Studies, Literacy/Language Arts, Social Studies, and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).
