Master of Public Health in Public Health Leadership

Offered by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, this is an internet based program focuses on teaching students leadership skills that will aid them in their public health careers. Students will gain core workforce competencies and are able to specialize in Public Health Program Development, Public Health Nursing, Public Health Practice, and Field Epidemiology. A 42 credit hour program, students can expect to take up to 3 years to complete the program depending on full time or part time status.

University of North Carolina Greensboro Department of Public Health Education

The Department of Public Health Education at the University of North Carolina offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in public health. Graduates will obtain the skills and knowledge needed to be successful as leaders in the public health sector.

Master of Public Health

This is a 45 credit hour program that takes a population approach to community health education. Graduates of this program will be prepared to take leadership roles in a variety of settings including health agencies, public and private organizations, and government departments. The school uses a combination of practice, theory, and collaboration with community organizations to provide students with a comprehensive education in public health.

Doctoral in Public Health

The focus of this program is to prepare students for teaching and research careers at college and universities, private and public research facilities, and health agencies. Student will be a member of a research team that includes classmates, faculty members, and community partners. Graduates of the program will have in-depth knowledge and advanced skills that will allow them to take a strategic role in the study and development of public health practices.
