Students learn to work in a variety of settings, such as urban, rural, and suburban. Students come out of these graduate and undergraduate programs with an advanced understanding of cutting edge teaching technologies and methods. The school offers a variety of concentrations for different education students following a variety of career tracks.

MA in Education:

This program is for students who wish to teach in a variety of different areas. Students learn to work with elementary, high school, and college students. There are also training courses and opportunities for students who would like to teach in areas and institutions outside of the conventional school. These areas may include museums and youth groups. Students learn to work with current concepts such as social justice, diversity, pedagogy, and various teaching methods. Students also learn to incorporate new technology into their curriculums.

PhD in Multicultural and Equity Studies in Education:

This program is for graduate students who would like to achieve an advanced degree of understanding about modern day multicultural environments. Graduate students study a wide variety of multicultural environments across the country and may also study international education. Many students will engage in internships that provide experiential education. Students also study various forms of pedagogy and how they relate to different cross-cultural environments. These courses may also contain social sciences studies, such as sociology, anthropology and urban studies.

The Ohio University College of Education and Human Services

This was the first school of education in the state of Ohio. The school focuses on outreach and service to the community. Students are trained to work with students from a number of different environments. They are also trained to work with the most cutting-edge technology and to assist people in a wide variety of contexts and challenges. This school offers a wide variety of disciplines and concentrations for today's education graduate student.

Masters in Educational Administration:

Graduate students learn to look at the school from the big picture perspective. They learn to become leaders while also developing the skills necessary for communicating with and reaching people on a one-on-one basis. Students perform internships and train on the field while also participating in coursework that covers pedagogy and teaching and learning methods. Students who complete this program often rise to high level administrative positions in primary and secondary schools.
