South Carolina State University School of Engineering

Deep in the heart of Orangeburg, South Carolina, is South Carolina State, home to the highly-regarded College of Engineering. Although this is a relatively small school, it does have a few Master's programs that make use of the intimate feeling of community to help spark discussion in some of the key aspects of the field. There are no PhD programs, but with two Master's programs it is worth mentioning, and is in the top 500 schools on the US News and World Report's annual list.

Masters of Science in Transportation

Transportation systems and all of their various facets are included in this rather unique course of study, which isn't offered by very many rival colleges. Some of the topics that are included range from train systems to electrical engineering. Graduates can then go on to work in a managerial role within the transportation industry, or complete their studies with a final thesis project in this field.

Masters of Science in Industrial Education

Clemson University College of Engineering and Science

Ranked as the number one engineering program in South Carolina, Clemson's College of Engineering and Science is small but more than satisfactory. There are over ten different disciplines that are available to students in this field, including such topics as Environmental Engineering, Computer Systems, and more. These are available both at the Master's level of study as well as a more advanced Doctoral level, depending on student needs.

Master's in Industrial Engineering

The study of industrial engineering can be a good idea for any students who are interested in the systems behind factories and industry. Some of the core courses that may be covered in this type of program would range from anything like structural analysis, to building systems analysis. These are then supplemented with electrical systems, foundation studies, and any other types of general engineering courses that the student chooses from a long list of electives provided by the university.
