University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work
The Graduate College of Social Work was founded in 1967 and currently seats about 390 students in their advance programs every year. Leading edge research is paired with real world experience to produce students who are full capable of taking leadership roles and effecting social and economic change.
Master of Social Work
This 63 credit hour program starts with a semester of foundational education that serves as the context for the rest of the curriculum. With deep roots in liberal arts, the program will help student build critical thinking skills, learn how to meet the needs of a diverse population, and properly analyze and research social issues with an eye towards using scientific and evidence based methods to solving them.
Doctoral of Social Work
The Social Work Doctoral program is designed to prepare professionals for academic, research, and leadership roles in public and private institutions. The goal of the program is to advance the student's knowledge of social work as well as help them develop a deeper understanding of complex issues and the methodologies used to handle them.

Texas State University San Marcos Graduate College
The Graduate College at Texas State University focuses on helping student attain their educational and professional goals. Master of Social Work
This is a 62 hour program that provides two fields of study options, Administration and Supervision, and Direct Practice. Upon graduation, students will be eligible for a variety of advance level positions at public and private organizations in the social work sector.
