Top Five Online Masters in Civil Engineering Degrees

The following schools have been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the five best online engineering schools for 2013. Some of the online programming offered by these schools may provide specialization in civil engineering or could be a desirable choice for students with prior engineering experience who want to earn a master's degree. #2 Pennsylvania State University, World Campus

#3 Columbia University (Fu Foundation)

#4 Purdue University, West Lafayette

#5 University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

These rankings are based on a combination of data received from 221 schools and weighted on a school's graduation rate, best practices, class sizes and one year retention rates, among others. Of the 221 schools, 70 said they planned to offer online graduate-level engineering degrees online.
