University of Virginia Curry School of Education:
This school is considered the premier education school in the state of Virginia, and also one of the best education programs in the country. The reason is because there are two main facets to the teacher education in all of the programs in the college. On the one hand, students learn the theory, methodology and pedagogy necessary to understand the workings in the classroom. On the other hand, students are given ample opportunity to work out in the field through a variety of different internships. The school offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as executive programs for working professionals who need more flexible schedules.
Master of Art in Teaching:
This program is for students who would like to master the theory, method, and practice of teaching. Students who are involved in the undergraduate teaching program may make a smooth transition into this master program, which begin with core courses in teaching. Students work in learning groups with other students as well as with faculty, to discuss major issues in today's schools. Students pick individual areas of concentration, such as elementary or secondary education. Students also participate in internships in local schools and educations institutions.
Master of Education:
This degree is for students who would like to pursue areas of concentration that involve teaching, but may also involve broader topics, such as counseling or administration. The program begins with core education classes. Students learn about current issues and methods. They also learn about ethics and new classroom technology. Students are asked to choose individual areas of interest and declare concentrations. Students also must perform fieldwork through a local institution or through a global initiative. Many who complete this program take leadership positions or pursue PhD degrees.

James Madison University College of Education:
This college focuses on providing students with the education they need to become leaders in their selected fields of study. Students are offered a number of internship opportunities, as well as small classrooms and dedicated faculty who work closely with them to help them begin their careers. The college offers a number of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Master of Education:
